However, Asus has silently revealed a direct successor to the Pegasus X002, which was announced last year. Nicknamed as the Pegasus 2 Plus X550, the smartphone was exhibited at a Chinese exhibition in Nanjing on Saturday. The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It has 3GB of RAM and is powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octacore SoC. It comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage depending on which version you choose. It is a dual SIM smartphone backed by a 3,030mAh battery. It runs latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with latest Zen UI is available on top of Google’s operating system. This handset is made out of metal, quite likely to be aluminum. The device does not have any capacitive buttons on its body, but does have a set of on-screen buttons. Though it has thin side bezels, the black bars present in the smartphone make it looks slightly thicker than they are when the device is powered off. The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus will come in two color variants, Rose Gold and White and will roll out in the market this September. Pricing or availability details are unknown as of yet.
