The two handsets, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL that are being developed are codenamed Talkman and Cityman, respectively, and the specifications of both have been leaked. Microsoft has been consistently releasing the technical preview version of the Windows 10 Mobile OS. But the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL flagships are likely to be the first handsets to come preloaded with final build of Windows 10 Mobile. The Microsoft Lumia 950 (codenamed Talkman) will feature a 5.2 inch screen display on its 2K resolution. The Snapdragon 808 SoC and 3GB of RAM will be available under its hood. It will come with a removable battery of 3,000mAh capacity.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL (codenamed Cityman) will sport a 5.7-inch screen with QHD (1440x2560p) resolution. It will run on the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and have 3,000mAh battery.

Both the devices as the report suggests will come with 32GB of inbuilt storage, microSD card expansion support, USB Type-C connector and sport an full-metal unibody design. It will support Continuum feature via accessory cable. They will also feature 20MP rear facing camera and 5MP front-facing camera. The camera of the Lumia 950 XL will be enabled with triple LED flash. On Sept 4, Microsoft will be holding an unveil event at the IFA tech trade show in Berlin. It is expected to disclose several Windows 10 devices and the premium Lumia. The company may announce the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL at IFA event and release them in October or November. No details have been provided about the pricing of the above devices.
