The M2 Note, a worthy successor to the M1 Note that was launched at the end of last year falls in a mid-range category, while the Meizu MX5 is the company’s new flagship offering. Having said that, the company has already started sending out invites to a new event that Meizu is going to hold on July 29, where it plans to announce the Meizu M2 smartphone. According to the previous leaks and rumors, the Meizu M2 is said to sport a 5-inch (probably 720p) display coupled with 2GB of RAM. This smartphone is set to be powered by MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor. It will run on Android Lollipop that will come pre-installed on it along with Meizu’s Flyme UI available on top of Google’s operating system. Several leaks have mentioned that it will feature a 13-megapixel camera, and it looks like Meizu will be using the Sony IMX214 sensor in this device. The Meizu M2 will be available in two variants, 8GB and 16GB. The 8GB variant will cost 499 Yuan ($80), while the 16GB variant will cost 699 Yuan ($113), which makes it a really affordable handset. Having got a certification in China already, the certification process of Meizu M2 did not actually disclose all of the device specs; however, it did reveal that the Meizu M2 will offer 4G LTE connectivity (both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE). Below the display, the Meizu M2 will have a physical home button, which mostly looks like a smaller M2 Note.
