Modder Dave Bennet has managed to get the popular first-person shooter (FPS) video game, Counter Strike 1.6 up and running on an Android smartwatch. Not only that, he has also posted his method online, so now you can also indulge in mag-fragging on a tiny tiny screen provided you own an Android smartwatch. To start with, you’ll need to download the Xash3D app that lets you run the old Windows version of the game on Android Wear, as well as the APK for the Counter Strike client app. Once that’s done, create a “Xash” folder on your smartwatch SD card, and copy the “valve” and “cstrike” folders from your CS 1.6 installation to the folder. And voila! You’re good to go rush B.There are still die-hard fans and servers available, so multiplayer should be no problem.
Of course, how you actually play on such a tiny screen is another question entirely. Honestly, if you manage to do well, that’s pretty darn impressive in its own right.
