Signature Systems Inc. is the point-of-sale vendor which provided point-of-sales logistics and gateways to Jimmy John’s and another 100 independent restaurants across United States. The breach which looks massive from prima facie investigations may have jeopardized credit card numbers of the customers of these eateries. After the Jimmy John breach, Signature Systems released another statement about other breaches which had occurred over past 24 hours. The latest statement contains names of nearly 100 other small eateries and pizza shops....

For those unaware, IBM has a long list of major AI innovations, which also include “Deep Blue,” the IBM system that took on chess world champion Garry Kasparov in 1997, and IBM Watson, which beat the top human champions on Jeopardy! in 2011. Instagram Users Reporting Strange Hacks Instagram users have been reporting of the bizarre hack since the beginning of August. Users are reporting that they are getting ‘logged out’ of their account, and if they try to log in again, it shows that their username no longer exist. The affected users also found hackers had altered their profile info and changed contact details. Many of them saw their profile pictures typically set to a Disney or Pixar character with the new email addresses switching to a Russian ....

Originally, Instagram began testing multi-account logins on Android last year. However, it appears that the feature is starting to be made available more broadly. “We are always testing new features within our community,” an Instagram spokesperson told Tech Insider. This feature is especially convenient for those users who run a personal account for family and friends as well as a business account for, well, business-type stuff. Without having to log out, the users can login to each account every time they want to browse or post new content....

According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, a New Jersey man Louis Meza, 35, has been indicted of kidnapping and stealing $1.8 million worth of ether, the cryptocurrency of the Ethereum (Bitcoin rival) network, from his friend’s cryptocurrency wallet at gunpoint. The incident took place on November 4th when Meza had a meeting with his friend at his apartment. Meza called a car service for the friend after the meeting to take him back to his place....

The latest announcement by Microsoft is a step further in that direction. Furthering its mission to work more closely with the developer community, Microsoft is open sourcing PowerShell and making it available on Linux and Mac OS X. Nadella’s Linux overdrive for Microsoft has got it to release PowerShell on Github under MIT license. Powershell is a proprietary Microsoft platform for scripting and automation. The open sourced Powershell will help developers to port it to Linux and Mac with an alpha build now available on GitHub....
