On Tuesday, Google had released the latest version of the Chrome browser 88.0.4323.146 for Windows, MacOS and Linux to patch several security loopholes. As first reported by ZDNet, according to the screenshot shown above, Defender ATP is detecting the Chrome sl.pak language file in both Chrome 88.0.4324.104 and 88.0.4323.146as containing a generic backdoor trojan named “PHP/Funvalget.A.” Several users using the Microsoft Defender ATP security platform took to Twitter to report the issue and question Microsoft if the detections were “false positives”....

If you are a windows user, you probably have certain programs that you prefer to use. For example, you might have set the Google Chrome as the default browser on your Windows 10 computer. However, you may not be able to do so, if your computer has downloaded the KB3135173, a cumulative update issued for February that was pushed out as an update last week. The forced update is causing users’ default programs to return to Microsoft alternatives, such as Chrome going back to Edge as the new default, or IrfanView returning to Microsoft Photos app....

Microsoft’s OneDrive and Outlook.com are leaking unique user identifiers in plain text. A developer who goes by the name of ramen-hero has said that both Outlook.com, OneDrive, and Microsoft’s account pages incorporate a unique user identifier known as CID in URLs. The CID is a 64-bit integer (usually formatted in unsigned hexadecimal form) associated with each Microsoft account and used in Microsoft APIs for user identification. Ramen-hero has made a post on aptly named, Annoyed Microsoft User, detailing how Microsoft is leaking this CIDs in plain text to anyone who wants them....

There are 2 levels in the rewards scheme. Level 1 members will get points for 10 daily searches whereas Level 2 members will earn points for 50 daily searches. The number of searches done will be refreshed everyday....
