Major General Burke Wilson, commander of the 24th Air Force, a division of the US Air Force that is specialized in cyberspace operations, has revealed a new US Air Force project which involves using an airplane to provide an airborne hacking platform. Major Wilson made the comments at the Air Force Association Air & Space conference in National Harbor, Maryland. It is well known that all military networks around the world usually use air-gapped systems (without access to Internet connection) to protect sensitive data from being hacked by external actors like hackers or another country’s cyber-army....

Back then, Facebook had announced in a blog post dated March 21, 2019 that passwords were left in a “readable format”, which allowed at least 2,000 Facebook engineers and developers with access to the company’s internal systems to view the actual plain text passwords. “This caught our attention because our login systems are designed to mask passwords using techniques that make them unreadable. The new app called “Study from Facebook” will collect information about apps installed on a participant’s phone, time spent using those apps, participant’s country, device and network type, and the features the participant is accessing within those apps. “We believe this work is important to help us improve our products for the people who use Facebook. The premier investigative agency of United States of America, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) had its website content management system hacked. A hacker with Twitter handle of CyberZeist claimed that he had managed to breach into Plone CMS used by FBI for its website. CyberZeist also leaked around 150 logins, including email addresses and encrypted passwords online. CyberZeist said he breached the Plone CMS, also being used by the FBI, in late December using a zero-day that was discovered by somebody else....
