Shadow Brokers had claimed that it had access to whole range NSA hacking tools and had attempted to sell some of the tools on the dark web. After failing to get buyers for the hacking tools, Shadow Brokers today announced its retirement. The hacker group said it was “going dark”, but not before leaving a parting gift....

The Chinese government has issued new regulations which require all companies that sell computer equipment to Chinese banks to turn over secret source code, submit to security audits and build back doors into hardware and software, according to the New York Times. The hackers then sold the stolen tickets on Facebook and used the funds to buy themselves expensive motorcycles....

A teenager from Antrim has been arrested in connection with the crime. The 15-year-old was taken into custody after an investigation by the Metropolitan Police cyber crime Unit, the PSNI and the British National Crime Agency.
