Well, you will be surprised to know that a Taiwanese tech enthusiast Tsaik recently overclocked an enormous 64-core/128-thread AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 595WX processor to 5.15 GHz all-core, completely crushing the Cinebench R23 world record. The overclocked CPU managed to achieve a multi-threaded benchmark score of 116142 completely destroying the previous record holder Splave’s Threadripper 3990X by 105170 points. At the time of writing this article, there’s no consumer/retail version of Threadripper PRO 5995WX....

Researchers from UC Berkeley’s International Computer Science Institute (ICSI), which produced the research, tested 88,000 apps from the U.S. Google Play Store, and found that 1,325 apps collected information regarding geolocation data and phone identifiers. The study published on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website cited 153 apps, including Samsung Health, Samsung’s Browser, Shutterfly and Disney’s Hong Kong Disneyland park app that collected data without explicit permissions. “Modern smartphone platforms implement permission-based models to protect access to sensitive data and system resources....
