The ExtraTorrent homepage greeted its billions of visitors with a goodbye message that read: “ExtraTorrent has shut down permanently. ExtraTorrent with all mirrors goes offline. We permanently erase all data. Stay away from fake ExtraTorrent websites and clones. Thx to all ET supporters and torrent community. ET was a place to be….” The site which was home to several prominent uploaders and groups were left in the lurch due to the shutdown....

Many users considered ExtraTorrents to be a perfect alternative to popular peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing torrent sites and torrent search engines like The Pirate Bay and Kickass Torrents. Unfortunately, Official Extratorrents was voluntarily shut down on May 17, 2017, and was replaced by several Extratorrent Proxy, clones, and mirror sites. These clones and mirror sites of Extratorrents have also been blocked in many countries as the website is used to redistribute copyrighted movies, games, etc....

While the financial terms of the agreement were not revealed, according to Axios, who first reported the news, estimates the deal to be valued at around $400 million. This new mapping project is part of Facebook’s Internet.org Connectivity Lab, which announced this week that it has created new, high-resolution population-distribution maps of 20 countries, most of which are developing. The group is tasked with using drones, satellites, and lasers to improve internet access in rural areas and developing countries. The scam was detected by Wordfence, the maker of a security plugin for WordPress, who said that the victims are targeted via an email to their Gmail account, which may include an attachment or image, and might even come from a contact or company you recognize. When clicked on, it takes users to a well-disguised website that mimics the Gmail login page and asks the user to sign in once more....
