Microsoft is working on building Azure Cloud Switch (ACS), which is the company’s first foray into switch hardware and it has Linux under the hood. The ACS will make it simple to control the hardware that powers cloud-based services. The company calls it “a cross-platform modular operating system for data networking built on Linux.” The Linux-based ACS is a software to debug, fix and test software bugs much faster. “We believe this approach of disaggregating the switch software from the switch hardware will continue to be a growing trend in the networking industry and we would like to contribute our insights and experiences of this journey starting here,” said Kamala Subramanian, Redmond’s principal architect for Azure Networking....

Released in 1995, Internet Explorer was announced first as part of the add-on package for Windows 95 that year. It was, however, later provided as free downloads, or in-service packs, and included in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service releases of Windows 95 and later versions of Windows. However, new feature development for the browser was discontinued in 2016 in favor of the new web browser, Microsoft Edge. In May 2021, the company had announced as of June 15, 2022, Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) desktop application will no longer be supported on Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channels and Windows 10 IoT Semi-Annual Channels....

Microsoft revealed that it plans to release new tools in its Project Oxford that will help developers take advantage of latest advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence, including a tool that can recognize emotion. The announcement was made by the company at the Future Decoded conference in London on Wednesday. Project Oxford introduced in May at the Build conference is a suite of developer tools based on Microsoft’s machine learning and artificial intelligence research....

According to a post on the Microsoft 365 Blog, beginning November 30, 2020, the Microsoft Teams web app will be the first to drop support for IE 11. Further, starting August 17, 2021, the remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support IE 11. In other words, after the above dates, customers will have a degraded experience or will be unable to connect to Microsoft 365 apps and services on IE 11....

Though the service is still under wraps, the listing for the cellular data app has been published to the company’s Windows Store. From the listing it can been seen that the App will work only with Windows 10 and “requires a Microsoft SIM card.” Other features of the App are as follows : Service is available in some markets and offers are for domestic plans only – international roaming offers will be available soon....

While Microsoft had already implemented the step of hiding the option of creating a local, offline account while setting up Windows 10 in the U.S., it appears that the company is imposing the same limitation to other parts of the world too. The 64-bit version of Firefox brings substantial improvements over the 32-bit version, including the ability to run bigger Apps, resource hungry games, 1080p videos at a flick of the button. The 64 bit version also gives users increased security. Users can now run the resource hungry web apps and games, access new hardware registers and instructions for running JavaScript faster. The accused, Anne McClain, a NASA astronaut and Spokane native, and her estranged ex-wife, Summer Worden, a former Air Force intelligence officer, are in the process of a divorce and battling over the custody of their 6-year-old son. Both the parties have been involved in a bitter divorce and parenting dispute since 2018. However, things took an ugly turn when Worden filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) earlier this year, which was followed by another complaint filed by her family with NASA’s Office of Inspector General that accused McClain of identity theft and improper access to Worden’s private financial records while in orbit....

In a video demonstration, Youtuber Hacking Jules showcases his ability to run Super Mario 64 and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on an LG G Watch using the N64 emulator.
